Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

The Science of EFT Tapping
Dr Peta Stapelton has provided a detailed explanation of the science behind EFT aka tapping and can be credited for demonstrating a compelling evidence base (MRI imaging) using the technique to reduce food cravings. There are over 100 peer reviewed clinical trials showing how effective the technique is for stress, anxiety, depression and many other health issues (access some here). The following video provides a comprehensive understanding of why the technique works so well. You don't have to 'get' all the terminology, but does provide a solid scientific breakdown.
EFT Tapping Within Supports
Introducing Self-regulation Strategies
This is an effective (and optional) tool that promotes self-regulation and helpful to use if distress pops up unexpectedly, so you get the most out of the service and your day. A free EFT session will introduce you to the concepts so you can try it out and decide whether you'd like to integrate this tool within supports.
"Tapping helps us tune in to the negative patterns that we form around our uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or troubling memories. We ‘tap’ on the correct pressure points while bringing the thoughts or emotions into consciousness. The aim is to find relief, relaxation, and promote healing around the emotional or physical issues that hold us back" (EFT International)
